RobotAtom trial evidence tool

What did the configured grasp trial actually show?

Keep the part condition, motion baseline, observed outcome and reviewer together. Plan tests with the responsible integrator and safety owner; this record does not authorise hazardous motion or deliberate part drops.

Does the evidence cover this contact surface?

Compare the trial baseline with the proposed condition before carrying an old result forward. Identify the part finish, residue or lubricant, fingertip material and condition, cleaning history and inspection references where relevant. Unknown is a valid entry; it is not evidence of equivalence.

This local handoff records the reviewer's reasoning. It does not assess friction, choose a sample size, approve a cleaning method or authorise robot motion. Use references rather than confidential drawings; entries disappear when this tab closes.

6 contact-surface review fields open. Filled fields do not establish coverage or approval; preserve missing evidence and adverse findings.

Generated locally with open fields visible. Aggregate events contain no entered values.

Freeze the trial boundary

Entries stay in this tab until downloaded. Use references, not sensitive part drawings. Closing the tab discards the entries.

Reconcile one condition's run tally

Use mutually exclusive run classifications tied to the evidence references below. Invalid runs and unsuccessful or mixed outcomes must not disappear from the handoff. Counts do not choose a sample size or approve a test.

Enter every count as a whole number from 0 to 1000000. Blank means unknown, not zero.

Nominal part and cycle
Surface or dimensional variation
Motion and stop condition
Utility loss and recovery

4 condition records incomplete

2 trial-boundary fields remain blank. Completeness is not acceptance; a recorded drop or damage must remain visible to the reviewer.

  • Nominal part and cycle
  • Surface or dimensional variation
  • Motion and stop condition
  • Utility loss and recovery

Generated locally. Aggregate tool-use events contain no entered answers or evidence references.

Contact-surface review added 13 October 2026

Robotiq's documented Hand-E friction model depends on the fingertip/part coefficient. Its force-setting note also identifies fingertip and object materials among the relevant parameters. These product-specific sources were rechecked 13 October 2026; they do not establish that a changed surface is covered by an earlier trial. The comparison above is RobotAtom's review method, not a manufacturer protocol.

Keep settings separate from measurements

Robotiq's 26 June 2023 support note explains that its documented force setting controls a motor-current limit rather than directly measuring contact force. Its Hand-E e-Series specification guidance also distinguishes friction and form-fit grasps and tells integrators to consider acceleration. These sources apply to their documented products, not every gripper.

This record is RobotAtom's evidence method, not a manufacturer test protocol. Obtain the exact tool instructions and qualified review for the proposed configuration.
