Does the noise record describe the intended task?

Keep a product declaration, an area reading and a worker-exposure record distinct. Compare the recorded task, people, timing, equipment and surroundings with the work being proposed, then assign the unresolved evidence question.

Find intervals without an entered observation window

Use one declared task timeline. Minute zero is its start, not a clock time. Enter continuous observation windows from the same timeline and cite each record. Do not turn intermittent readings into continuous windows or substitute a product test for a worker-task record.

Observation window 1

Window comparison withheld

  • Task and timeline reference missing.
  • Enter a finite positive task duration in minutes.
  • Window 1: use increasing offsets inside the declared task duration.
  • Window 1: evidence reference missing.

Entered-window coverage only; not exposure, sampling adequacy, representative operation or safety. The worksheet does not inspect logs, validate timing or determine what occurred outside the entered windows. Ask the qualified occupational-noise owner how the record relates to the task and what further evidence is needed. No level, dose or legal criterion is calculated.

Entries stay in this tab and local download. Aggregate tool-use events contain no entered task, times or references. Up to 30 windows; refreshing clears the form.

Compare recorded conditions with intended work

Start with a specific report or declaration and one intended task. Leave unknowns blank. The worksheet flags missing pairs and different typed entries; it cannot decide whether a measurement represents the task.

Task, program, speed, load and tool
Worker group, location and movement
Task duration, shift and intermittent events
Simultaneous equipment and background sources
Room, barriers, doors and enclosure state
Record reference, date, quantity and measurement method

OPEN — task conditions need review

6 missing condition pairs; 0 different typed entries.

Matching text is not proof of representative conditions. A complete record may still require new measurements. No exposure, dose, legal limit, acoustic safety, compliance or permission to operate is determined here.

Entries stay in this tab and the download is local. Aggregate analytics record tool use, not your entries. Refreshing the page clears the form.

A request for evidence, not an exposure assessment

Added 15 October 2026: the observation-window worksheet lists intervals without an entered window on one declared task timeline. Overlap is counted once. It does not determine whether the observations are representative or sufficient, and full entered coverage is not a sampling pass.

NIOSH recommends measuring typical operating situations and retaining worker-task notes. Its guidance is from the United States, not a universal legal criterion. ISO 9612:2025 describes occupational-exposure measurement and uncertainty; only its public scope was reviewed, not the full paid standard. The worksheet structure is RobotAtom's synthesis and is not a standards-conforming measurement procedure.
