RobotAtom decision worksheet

Are these two bids answering the same task?

Set one versioned work brief, then record the configuration, evidence and exceptions behind each supplier claim. Keep differences visible before ranking prices or promised performance.

One request to both suppliers

Fix the comparison boundary first

Use the same brief version for both bids. If a clarification changes the work or the test, issue it to both suppliers before comparing their claims.

Supplier response 1

Record the offered system and proof

Clarify or retest
  • Brief version differs or is missing
  • Shared task or measurement envelope is incomplete
  • Offered supplier or configuration is missing
  • Dated evidence and its origin are missing
  • Outcome, test conditions or exception treatment is missing
  • Priced scope or review owner is missing
  • Commercial exclusion resolution remains open
  • One or more review confirmations remain open
  • Handover deliverables and configuration reference is missing
  • Supplier delivery owner and buyer receiving owner is missing
  • Dated handover and retrieval evidence is missing
  • Handover receipt and retrieval review remains open
  • Retrieval dependencies and access-change scenario is missing
  • Buyer-controlled copy and exact revision reference is missing
  • Dated authorised retrieval check and receiving owner is missing
  • Access-change retrieval review remains open

The bids are not yet comparable on the recorded evidence.

No score is calculated. Open fit or safety questions remain separate gates, even when a price is attractive.

Your entries stay in this browser tab. RobotAtom does not receive them.

What changes when the operating schedule changes?

Compare one baseline with one changed schedule. Trace the affected recurring cost inputs before asking finance to rerun the model. Entries stay in page memory until you download; they are not sent to RobotAtom or saved on refresh.

Record shifts, hours, working days and demand basis. Separate an approved scenario from an observed schedule. Do not enter credentials or confidential pricing.

Impact review incomplete

Missing evidence groups: 6

  • Baseline operating schedule and dated source
  • Changed schedule and dated demand basis
  • Affected cost lines, units and applicable terms
  • Unchanged cost lines and reason, or explicit none
  • Unresolved inputs and owner, or explicit none
  • Dated finance/operations review and next decision

This checks entry completeness only. It does not verify sources, calculate lifecycle cost or savings, forecast demand, rank suppliers or approve operation. A completed record may still contain unresolved inputs; the named owners must decide their treatment.

Why this record asks for context

This is a buyer-designed comparison method, not a required ISO or NIST form. It does not verify a result, certify a supplier, approve machinery safety or establish site acceptance. Apply the relevant standards and qualified specialist review to the actual system and location.

The commercial exclusion record keeps omitted work, its delivery owner, scope effect, dated clarification and cost treatment in the downloadable comparison. A blank or unknown amount is not zero. Completing the fields records your review; it does not establish a binding supplier commitment.

The handover check records the exact deliverables and configuration, supplier delivery and buyer receiving owners, and dated receipt/retrieval evidence. Missing entries keep review open. A completed record does not verify files, perform a restore or establish site acceptance. Do not enter passwords or access tokens.

The separate access-change review records retrieval dependencies, the buyer-controlled copy and revision, and a dated authorised check with its owner. A receipt does not settle this review. Entries stay local; the worksheet does not contact a supplier portal, change permissions, inspect files or restore a robot.

  • NIST robotics measurement programme — updated 24 April 2026; performance must be characterised for applications and environments.
  • ISO 9946:1999 — manufacturer presentation of industrial-robot characteristics; confirmed 2021.
  • ISO 10218-2:2025 — industrial robot applications and cells, within its stated scope; published February 2025.
  • IEC 60300-3-3:2017 — public life-cycle-costing scope; published 27 January 2017, checked 5 October 2026.
  • ABB service agreements — manufacturer description of separate support choices; publication date unstated, checked 5 October 2026. The actual contract determines coverage.
  • Universal Robots e-Series file-handling guidance — versioned manufacturer backup context; publication date unstated, checked 6 October 2026. No robot has been altered or tested by this worksheet.

Read why hard requirements precede ranking. For cross-border support, data, import and delivery ownership, use the broader supplier assessment.
